Well, to make a long story short, pep band was full and I wanted in for the AP credit so I joined drum line... I got first snare. I'm using a double field drum with a body rig and I have really, really sore shoulders... how do I make it better? ::rolls up into fetal position and rocks back and forth::

Thanks,

I did the same thing in my marching band years ago. Pissed off a lot of drummers... You'll get used to it. Just be glad it's no longer summer. Marching band/drum corps drummers get field goal tan lines on their chest, then the moment the season ends and they go outside without a drum or shirt on, they get field goal burn lines!

I had to play bass drum in marching band one year in high school, because no one in the drum section could keep time.

S'truth.

Complain to one of the pretty flute players - maybe a back rub is in order

(of course, if you were to wear it around your waist.......)

Don't have flute players... they went ...::gasp::... AP!

However, I like your train of thought and I think i'll try your method with claire-anette.
