Hello Garriaga, welcome to the forum

For a first sax usually a Yamaha is recommended to start out with.

There are those that would disagree with me on this answer, but I have played semi pro 30 years got a saxophone performance degree and taught students all levels. I tried some of the new models of asian made saxes and was mightly impressed ( wasn't expecting to be). For the price they really cant be beat. I have found the most vocal critics of these instruments have never actually played one. You may not pass these instruments down to your grand children (who Knows if they last the test of time) but have had one to loan out to students, even used it for doubbling on occasions and it rocks. The sound is closer to a yamaha more bright than dark and the action is spot on.
If you only have $700 and would like a new tenor I would be happy help you get one of the brands I have found to be very nice . email me <email> Also, I have many good used mouthpieces if you are interested. Best of luck( just one opinion ) Trevor

As to the comment above, I am pretty sure most people are who they say they are but use your intuition when dealing online and as a rule, I try not to buy or sell anything unless its in person and I have had time to check out the store/seller or the product being sold. I am sure there are more people out there who are trying to help you out honestly.

Its mostly about knowing the product. In this case a first sax. Have you thought about renting various horns or a rent to buy offered by lots of reputable stores ? This is the best option for those who don't know what brand or type of horn to play for your playing scenario.

And, just to avoid further confusion, the English spelling is Saxophone, not saxophon.

Best of luck, and welcome to the fold.
