I puchased a Conn Shooting Star Sax in excellent shape. Supposedly it's a 1963 model and the only numbers on it are 1313. I've been told these horns were made after Conn ran out of serial numbers at 999,9999. Is this true and is the year accurate?

To be very frank, I have no idea on Conn saxophones. I have NEVER own a Conn before in my life! I'm very Buffet Crampon heavy though. You can try asking other moderators, or wait for them to answer you. Do not hesitate to let us know if you need anything else. Cheers
