Has anyone experience of P.Mauriat tenor saxophone ?
I'm giving serious consideration to trading a vintage Selmer for P.Mauriat model e.g. models 66, 87, and/or Swing Tenors. See link for reference: http://saxophones.co.uk/acatalog/ copy_of_P_Mauriat_Tenor_Saxes.html

Any suggestions or thoughts welcome.

The P Mauriat saxes have a very good reputation. If your vintage Selmer is a quality VI or Balanced Action, I would be a bit hesitant to trade it in on anything. Of course, some Selmers play better than others, so I would try to at least make a playing comparison before doing the deal.

Just purchased the P. Mauriat Tenor Saxophone PMXT-66RGL Gold Lacquer. Big fat sound and not focused. Excellent response! Depending on the style of music that you are going to play be sure to ask about the various tones and responses of each model.
