I have an old Conn LTD Tenor Sax that used to be my fathers. In the case are notes from his music class/instruction, dated 1955, so I'm guessing the horn is made prior to 1955.

I went to the selmer-conn site and couldn't find anything regarding this serial #, which starts with a M, followed by six digits
M238XXX. also, not sure if the patent info is helpful, but it is Dec 5, 1914.

the horn is decorated with beautiful etched ornamentation design (no naked lady) and "CG Conn LTD Elkhat-Ind USA"

thanks for your help.

Hi,
It would look as if you have a Conn "New Wonder" tenor sax, most likely made in 1930. If you are selling it, I would be interested in taking a look and possibly buying it. I've been looking for one of these for quite some time.
