Folks,

a French friend of mine has a tenor saxophone that he played as a teenager. He would like to know if it's worth doing anything with rather than rotting in his parent's loft in France.

It's apparently made in Italy by 'Guillard Bizel', and is a 'Royal Artist' model, serial no G4703.

I've never heard of such a manufacturer. Has anybody? Is this instrument any good to anybody?

thanks,

'Guillard Bizel' is the name of a music shop in Lyon in south-eastern France (quite near Italy)

Maybe they imported the horn from an Italian makers and stamped the horn with their own name.

It doesn't sound to me to be particularly valuable, maybe something to teach oneself repairs and repadding on...
