guys.. im TOTALLY taken by this guys horn. i want one badly. any of you guys played one? id love to hear some feedback before i start saving.

Still waiting for him to take my idea and build them in Taiwan and sell them for $1500 but I'm not holding my breath. Tom J.

That sounds like a great idea! If Cannonball or someone like that built it, I would definitely buy on of the Contralto saxophones he has.

What exactly is a 'Jim Schmidt Sax'? If that's a brand, I've never heard of it. Where might I be able to learn some more on the topic?

Jim schmidt Saxophones are not abrand name. Jim Schmidt in an inventor, musician, repairman in California that has completely redesigned the saxophone. New pad design, new mechanisims, and a completely new fingering system (Makes Giant Steps a walk in the park). In fact, there are too many innovations to describe.
