My son is in 6th grade and beginning his second year in band. Should I buy a brand new selmer prelude or a used vito?
I´m currently playing a Selmer Super Session F mouthpiece and I really love it. Very easy to play. Perfect for my Yamaha 475.
Selmer metal lig. 3 thumbs up. They are cheap so buy a couple and keep spares. I've been using the one I have for over a year.

It was a 1952 Selmer Super Balanced Action Alto, serial #48475. It was stolen about four years ago and I try to keep my eyes out for it.

You might be able to get a Selmer Mark VII for that price (I paid $1400 for my tenor this year). If you can tolerate the left pinky fingerboard, it's well worth it. Check Ebay.
