Jeffrey from Straight No Chaser reviews Project Grand Slams debut CD calling a la solid double rather than grand slam.

Their music is above-average jazz-funk-fusion, utilizing a very solid - and all human (no electronic beats!) rhythm section

He has posted a link to one of there tunes - Harry Knuckles which I thoroughly enjoyed…great get-up-and-go music.

David Adler from Lerterland posted his 6 CD picks for December 2008 amongst others Bill Carrothers - Home Row. I Haven’t heard this CD yet but Bill site is a riot and worth a visit.

Destination out review Harry Lovett - Man without a country ,and Master of Disater - (Stu Martin and John Surman)
Not easy listening at all but very interesting. Probably the type of music that takes more than one session of listening to really hear it, but once over the initial shock of it,I found it rich layered and interesting.

Howard Mandel from Jazz Beyond Jazz sums up the years best 10 CD in his own personal opinion, a good list to pin up and listen through.

St. Louis Jazz Notes informs us of the potentially busy jazz week in St Louis.
Amongst others Nnenna Freelon, who will be performing at Jazz at the Bistro through Saturday.
