Hi,

I have a Conn alto saxophone, ser. no. 9696, built in 1957.

Can anybody give an advise on its current value?

Thanks much,

Marko

Is it the one with the shooting stars on the bell?

Hi Steve,

I don't know at the moment, but I'll have a look and let you know tonight. Would these stars make any difference?

Thanks,

Marko

Yeah, the Conn "Shooting Stars" saxophone is a student horn and not worth a whole lot -- paticularly if it were to need extensive repair. The Conn 6M alto sax is a pro horn, but the later ones were not nearly as good as the ones from the later 1930's and 1940's.

Hi Steve,

indeed, the stars are there, meaning I have the student horn.

Thanks much for the explanation, highly appreciated.
