What is the general opinion on best reeds for Selmer S80 C* mouthpieces?. I have been using Rico and the new ones I bought just dont feel right. Thanks for the advice

Try #3 Vandoren... also, Zonda #3 work well... in general, a C* works best with a medium strength reed... your personal preference may be toward a stronger/weaker reed than these, but a #3 Vandoren is a good starting place. I am assuming that you are wanting to get a classical sound... good luck!

I don't like Rico reeds because I don't think they give a good tone. I prefer to use Van Doren 2.5 or 3 with an 80/2 mouthpiece.
